-Is the reason for the three principal causes for quarrel (competition, difference, and glory) is because nature made human equal in their body and mind?
- If men keep using the three princpal causes of quarrel without a common power to keep them of doing such things, does that mean men are in a constant war?
- Must the multitude be united in one person in order for natural laws to function?
- If there is no injustice in the war of every man against every man because there are no laws, is there injustice under the rules of a monarch because the presence of laws?
If men are equal and are only different if they claim a difference then how can there be a winner to and argument or a fight?

If the natural State of man is simply greed, deceit, and violence, how can Thomas Hobbes believe one man should be given complete power over others. Isn't their a possibility of deceit, violence, and greed from that ruler too?

If the first and fundamental law of nature is to seek peace and follow it, how come men are not satisfied with what they have? And why do they become enemies and try to subdue or destroy each other in order to pursue the same thing?

If the common power is capable of preventing wars, how can we explain wars nowadays?
Will common power work if everybody is in war against each other?
- if all men are bad and rootless then why should we all trust another, bad and rootless man to be our ruler?
I think most DPD's are in this question of who can be trusted if all of us are greedy and evil....
How can a man endeavor peace if his natural condition is to be in constant warfare with another human being?

So far all of our DPD have to do with war, greed and evil... so our class DPD could involve all three of those...

If men are naturally evil, malevolent, and focused on destroying or stealing that which belongs to others, how can society even begin to function adequately in the first place?
If the difference in men isn't that considerable, then why do problems form that lead to wars, etc..?

There is always the competition to men to see who is the strongest but why do men need to be selfish and take the power of others or be the one in authority?

Is the British Commonwealth actually a commonwealth? (actually there are different countries with different justices, political organization,etc. that form it, so there it isn't really a commonwealth

I agree with Majo's Class DPD, but we could also add something about common power or an absolute ruler.
Actually there are a few DPDs, like Antoine's, that have something to do with all of these topics. Maybe we could tweak it a bit or add a few things.
Ya, i dont know if this will work, but maybe something like:
Do man's birth given defects, such as greed, deceit, and violence, have any impact on how the society proceeds, such as its wars?
Guys, please help me change it so we can have a class one that everyone agrees on :D
If man are naturally birth bad , and evil and all trust another then how can human appoint a ruler?

My DPD: If the nature of human are all related to overpower others, then what about the fundamental law of nature?
Well, Luisa, i think we should try something with more references in the text, and more than war (looking at the comments) most of them mentioned human's nature (including me) so i think is better starting with that...

if man kind is naturally greedy and violent even though they seek for peace, what influence can a king or ruler who is also a man kind have on the governed

okay so our class dpd should talk about evil greed wars and a ruler or a king...
If men are all equal and are also greedy, violent, and deceitful, then how can they just choose and agree to give all the power to one person in a commonwealth, even though they have a common purpose, wouldn't it still be risky because the person they are giving all the power to is as equal as all of them?

Isn't it too dangerous to confer all power and strenght to 1 person? because human beings are selfish, if we give all the power and strength to one person, that person will use the it as he/she wishes to.
Why dont we try something like this.
If all men are selfish, in that they cant share the same thing, violent and untrustful, in that they will fight and lie to better themselves, then how can the power of all men be united under one person that has there same faults?
